Glen Summers and Eric Olson Win Jury Verdict on Fraud and Breach of Contract Against Janus Capital

Glen Summers and Eric Olson obtained a jury verdict on all counts against Janus Capital on behalf of former Janus Portfolio Manager Ed Keely in Denver District Court. After deliberating for 7 hours, the jury found that Janus acted fraudulently toward Mr. Keely, breached an employment contract, and violated the Colorado Wage Act. The jury awarded all damages sought -- $4.8 million -- which, after statutory enhancements, interest, and attorneys fees, will result in an award of approximately $7 million.
Glen Summers and Eric Olson shared the presentation of witnesses, which included cross examinations of Janus's Chairman, CEO, and Chief Investment Officer.
