Bartlit Beck Prevails in Court of Federal Claims for Sikorsky Against DOJ

Bartlit Beck partners Jeff Hall and Kate Swift have prevailed for Sikorsky in a government contract dispute against the Department of Justice. The government sought $34 million for what it called an "alternative claim" to its earlier $80 million claim that Sikorsky's material overhead accounting practices violated cost accounting standards. Bartlit Beck prevailed for Sikorsky at trial in that earlier action in 2013, and the court has granted Sikorsky's motion for judgment on the alternative claim on claim preclusion grounds, rejecting the government's claim in its entirety.
