The Rose Foundation For Communities & The Environment supports grassroots initiatives to inspire community action to protect the environment, consumers and public health. The Rose Foundation is a grantmaking public charity. Unlike a private foundation, they were not launched with a big endowment. So each year they have to raise the money to give away as grants to community-based organizations or invest in youth leadership and environmental justice programs.
