Representing hedge funds in their action for breach of contract against lenders that failed to fund the construction of the Fontainebleau casino in Las Vegas.  Case filed in New York 2009.  Case currently pending in multi‑district proceedings in Miami.

Elliott Associates, L.P. v. Porsche SE
Representing hedge funds in securities fraud and manipulation lawsuit against Porsche SE related to Porsche SE's attempted takeover of Volkswagen AG in 2008.  Damages in excess of $1 billion.  Case pending in the Southern District of New York.

Appellate representations

Sunstar, Inc.  v. Alberto-Culver Co. (7th Cir. 2008-2009)
Represent Sunstar, a leading Japanese manufacturer of consumer products.  The appeal arose out of a trademark dispute involving Sunstar's sale of VO5 hair care products in Japan -- a $100 million line of business.  Took over from different trial counsel to handle Sunstar’s appeal.  Case was argued in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, before a panel of Judge Posner, Judge Manion, and Judge Evans.
