Kate Swift Defeats Class Action for Nicor

03.2011

Bartlit Beck lawyer Kate Swift represented Nicor Gas Company in putative class action litigation relating to Nicor's estimated billing practices. After Nicor won a motion to dismiss in favor of exclusive jurisdiction in the ICC, plaintiffs appealed to the First District. The First District affirmed the dismissal, with Kate Swift arguing the case for Nicor.
