Bartlit Beck Defeats Nationwide Class in WeightSmart Litigation

Bartlit Beck recently defeated plaintiff's attempt to certify a nationwide class in litigation related to Bayer's WeightSmart multivitamin. Plaintiff sought to represent consumers nationwide who had purchased WeightSmart. The Court rejected plaintiff's argument that New Jersey's consumer protection law applied to all consumers regardless of their state of purchase. Bartlit Beck's team was led by Rebecca Bacon, Chris Landgraff, and Matt Ford.
