Bartlit Beck Wins “Chambers USA Awards for Excellence 2012” in Product Liability

June 2012

Bartlit Beck has received the “Chambers USA Awards for Excellence 2012” in Product Liability.

Bartlit Beck was chosen from six law firm nominees in the product liability category.  The firm received the award during a June 7 awards ceremony.

The awards are based on research for the 2012 edition of Chambers USA, a leading global guide to the legal profession built upon research that includes attorney and client interviews. The nominations reflect a law firm’s preeminence in the practice area and notable achievements over the past 12 months. During the research process, Chambers analysts and editors evaluated outstanding work, notable strategic growth and client service among other factors in determining the winners.

The award reflects the firm’s unique makeup, which includes a group of highly experienced lawyers who specialize in representing defendants in matters throughout the United States that benefit from the firm’s strategic input, reputation, and trial skills, and the confidence that our clients have in Bartlit Beck to handle important matters.  Skip Herman, Bartlit Beck’s Managing Partner, noted with special pride that Chambers’ comments reflect the breadth and depth of the firm’s practice rather than the strength of any particular individual.  Below is what Chambers said about Bartlit Beck:

THE FIRM This relatively compact group punches well above its weight, offering uniform quality throughout its 60-strong team. The group is held in particularly high regard for work on pharmaceutical litigation, boasting an impressive client list and a number of key wins. Major work includes serving as lead counsel for Bayer in litigation alleging personal injuries caused by oral contraceptives YAZ and Yasmin.

Sources say: "They are terrific. I have not met a lawyer there who is not just outstanding in aptitude and ability."
