Mark Levine, Brian Swanson, and Tulsi Gaonkar win summary judgment for start-up company ShaveLogic in case brought by Gillette

In 2015, Gillette filed a lawsuit against ShaveLogic, a start-up shaving company founded in 2009. Gillette alleged that four ShaveLogic employees who had formerly worked for Gillette misappropriated Gillette trade secrets and confidential information for use at ShaveLogic. ShaveLogic filed counterclaims, asserting that Gillette filed the lawsuit not to protect its intellectual property, but to interfere with ShaveLogic's prospective business opportunities. On April 18, a state court judge in Massachusetts granted ShaveLogic's motion for summary judgment, dismissing all claims Gillette brought against it, and denied Gillette's motion for summary judgment on ShaveLogic's counterclaims.
