Second Circuit Rules in favor of Bartlit Beck Client Sabre Holdings Corporation in Antitrust Case
In 2016, after a ten-week trial, a federal jury returned a verdict in favor of Bartlit Beck client Sabre Holdings Corporation in a federal antitrust case brought by US Airways (now American Airlines) on one count and limited damages on the second count to 1% of the amount US Airways sought. The Court also denied US Airways’ request for injunctive and declaratory relief. On September 11th, 2019, the Second Circuit vacated the jury’s liability finding, affirmed the trial court’s limitation on damages, and remanded the case for a new trial. Bartlit Beck lawyers Chris Lind, Karma Giulianelli, Sean Grimsley, Andrew MacNally, Rob Addy, Jason Murray and Joseph Doman tried the case and represented Sabre in the appeal together with lawyers from Cravath, Swaine and Moore.
