Taylor Meehan has represented clients in all phases of litigation involving breach of contract and warranty disputes, trademark and false advertising disputes, patent disputes, and various matters involving the aerospace industry, complex technology, and other fields. She has also taken on constitutional issues in both the trial and appellate courts.
In 2016, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals appointed Ms. Meehan to brief and argue an en banc appeal involving the interpretation of a federal statute. Since then, Ms. Meehan has successfully petitioned the Seventh Circuit to halt the deposition of a high-ranking public official and filed briefs in opposition in the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of clients successfully opposing certiorari petitions. She has also briefed issues ranging from antitrust exemptions to criminal law in various amicus curiae briefs.
Before joining Bartlit Beck, Ms. Meehan clerked for Justices Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas of the U.S. Supreme Court and Judge William H. Pryor Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Between clerkships, Ms. Meehan handled appeals at a small Supreme Court boutique. She is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School and the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism and proud to call Zionsville, Indiana her hometown.
