Gabe Levin joined Bartlit Beck following two federal clerkships. Since joining the firm, Gabe has spent over 70 days in trial in cases with tens of billions of dollars at stake. Gabe has argued several motions in state and federal court and deposed fact and expert witnesses. 

Before joining Bartlit Beck, Gabe clerked for Judge Allison Eid on the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and for Judge Cormac Carney on the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Prior to attending law school at Harvard, Gabe played varsity ice hockey for the University of Denver where he was an assistant captain on DU’s first Frozen Four team since 2005. Gabe currently announces the team’s home games on its radio broadcast.

Hamilton Sundstrand Camdenton Litigation (Camden County, Missouri)
Trial Counsel for Sundstrand in environmental tort cases claiming that alleged environmental contamination in and around Sundstrand’s Camdenton, Missouri facility caused plaintiffs’ personal injuries.  Nearly 30 cases are currently pending. 

  • Gray et al. v. Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation
    Trial Counsel for Sundstrand in environmental tort case related to contamination of drinking water in community where Sundstrand’s former manufacturing facility was located.  Won a complete defense verdict for Sundstrand on plaintiffs’ claims for negligence and punitive damages following a 3-week jury trial.
  • Fitzgerald v. Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation
    Trial Counsel for Sundstrand in environmental tort case related to chemical contamination in community where Sundstrand’s former manufacturing facility was located.  Case pending.

San Francisco v. Purdue (N.D. Ca.)
Trial counsel for Walgreens in bellwether bench trial against manufacturers, distributors, and Walgreens, alleging marketing, distribution, and sale of prescription opioids contributed to a public nuisance in San Francisco. Case settled before the damages phase for less than 3% of damages sought.

Lake County, OH v. Purdue and Trumbull County, OH v. Purdue (N.D. Ohio, Sixth Circuit)
Trial counsel for Walgreens in first bellwether jury trial against chain pharmacies, alleging distribution and sale of prescription opioids caused a public nuisance in two Ohio counties. Appeal pending.

National and trial counsel for Walgreens in nationwide litigation relating to the distribution and sale of prescription opioid medications, including more than 2,500 cases brought by states, cities, counties, tribes, and private parties seeking recovery in connection with the opioid abuse crisis.
