Noor-ul-ain S. Hasan

Noor represents clients in complex, high-stakes litigation matters, including serving as trial counsel in two arbitrations. She has experience in various commercial disputes, including employee benefits, employment law, intellectual property, and professional liability.

Noor joined Bartlit Beck following judicial clerkships with Judge Robert L. Wilkins on the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and Judge Matthew F. Kennelly on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Prior to her clerkships, Noor served as a Bartlit Beck Diversity Fellow. She earned her law degree from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where she was elected Editor-in-Chief of the California Law Review, and her undergraduate degree at Northwestern University.

Before law school, Noor worked at Allstate Insurance Company as a management consultant for Allstate Management Consulting Services and as a licensed diversity, equity, and inclusion strategist on Allstate's Inclusive Diversity team.

Carling O’Brien v. Emerald Lake Capital Management (Los Angeles County, Cal.)
Trial counsel for Emerald Lake and other defendants in litigation related to Ms. O’Brien’s termination for cause from Emerald Lake. Successfully compelled arbitration of Ms. O’Brien’s claims as to the principal defendants and secured stay of the case as to the others.

Counsel for Third-Party Defendant RWE, a German multinational energy company, in a retiree health benefits dispute arising under the federal Coal Industry Retiree Health Benefit Act.

Align Technology v. SmileDirectClub, False Advertising Case (N.D. Cal.)
Bartlit Beck represents Align in a case asserting claims against SDC on the ground that SDC is lying to consumers about the level of supervision dentists and orthodontists provide to patients in SDC’s business. 

Appvion, Inc. Retirement Savings and Employee Stock Ownership Plan v. PwC & RSM (Outagamie, Wis.)
Counsel for defendant PwC in professional liability case brought by employee stock ownership plan.
