Amy McCalib

Amy McCalib has represented clients on high-stakes complex commercial cases including nationwide class actions, MDLs, and multistate litigation at all stages of litigation. She has represented clients in a variety of disputes including product liability, contract disputes, trade secrets, consumer protection, and patent actions.

Amy specializes in coordinating her clients’ large-scale litigations. She is adept at maintaining strategic consistency and efficiently managing resources in matters with multiple cases nationwide. And she secures strong positions for her clients by establishing respectful and productive relationships with opposing counsel and co-counsel alike.

Amy joined Bartlit Beck after two years as a litigation associate at Latham & Watkins. She split her time there between the complex commercial litigation and white collar investigations groups. Amy graduated from the University of Michigan Law School where, as President of LAW Breaks, she coordinated legal volunteer opportunities for over 50 law students – helping to earn LAW Breaks the law school’s Outstanding Pro Bono Project Award. 

Representative Matters

Abrams, et al, v. FedEx Ground Package System, Inc., et al (U.S. District Court, S.D. IL)
Represented FedEx in wrongful death and personal injury suit related to major trucking accident. Case settled during trial.

Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) Cases
National counsel for DuPont on claims that its 2015 spin-off of The Chemours Company was a fraudulent transfer. Handling those claims in the aqueous film-forming foam multidistrict litigation in the District of South Carolina as well as cases in Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, and Vermont.

Align v. 3Shape (D. Del. and W.D. TX)
Represented Align in lawsuits brought by Align against 3Shape and vice versa for alleged infringement of different patents related to 3D dental imaging technology. The parties entered a global settlement in early 2022.

Viking Technologies LLC v. Asurion LLC (E.D. Tex.)
Trial counsel for Asurion in patent infringement litigation involving mobile device display repair technology. Case settled on the eve of trial.

Confidential AAA Arbitration
Represented defendant in a confidential AAA commercial arbitration. Case settled.
