Bartlit Beck Wins $106.5M Verdict

A Bartlit Beck team led by John Hughes and Steven Derringer recently obtained a $106.5M verdict for their client, Colibri Heart Valve LLC, in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. After a week of testimony and five hours of deliberation, the jury returned a verdict finding that Medtronic CoreValve LLC induced infringement of Colibri's patent and failed to prove that the claims of the patent in question were invalid. Matthew Ford, Meg Fasulo, and Katherine Rhoades rounded out the trial team.
